We are the Lemus girls, and this is our study abroad blog! This site was created to be an online diary, keeping our family and friends updated on our lives while we are abroad, as well as to inform others on the experience of studying abroad. Keep scrolling to meet the authors, and be sure to follow along on the latest adventure, Alejandra’s trip to Aberdeen, Scotland!
Hi everyone!
My name is Alejandra and I am the last Lemus sister to go on her study abroad journey. Back at home at Kalamazoo College, I am in my third year studying history.
During my time in Aberdeen and Scotland as a whole, I want to make my way around the country and take in the beautiful views and rich history of this area. I am going to make as many efforts as possible to push myself outside of my comfort zone. At the same time, while I want to embrace opportunities for big trips and monumental experiences, I also want to prioritize taking in the little things and learning the simple parts of UK life.
I will try my best to update as much as possible but as I will make clear in my first entry, that may be more difficult than I thought it would be. Either way, join me as I explore life in Scotland!

Bonjour readers
My name is Isabella and I am a computer science / French double major finishing up my last year at Hope College.
During my time in Nantes I am really hoping to improve my fluency and conversational skills with the people I meet. Great food and company are some of my favorite things in life, so I’m also looking forward to exploring French cuisine through local restaurants, markets, and hopefully learning to cook a bit more on my own!
I anticipate blogging a lot about my personal insights and keeping record of stories during my time in Nantes. If you enjoy reflections and anecdotes, this is the blog for you!
Thank you all for following along in this chapter of my life!

Hello! My name is Catherine and I am studying Marketing at Western Michigan University. Over the past few months I have decided to tackle the awesome adventure of studying abroad in Oslo, Norway!
I have traveled abroad once prior in Ireland as a freshman but this will be my FIRST EVER completely solo journey where I hope to learn lots and finally become GPS independent!
I created this site to be an online diary where I can track my progress and share any pieces of advice about the study abroad process. I have applied for countless scholarships and did much research before launching myself into this journey so maybe just maybe I will be able to help a fellow student adventurer navigate this crazy process!
